Obituary of Rudy Torres

Funeral services for Rudy Torres, 57, of Lovington will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel at 10:00 am with Dennis Durfee Officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Rudy was born on January 18, 1965 in Uvalde, Texas to Jose and Gloria Torres and passed away on June 6, 2022. Rudy spent majority of his life in Alabama. He loved watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys and Alabama. Rudy loved music and to dance. He especially loved his step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Gloria Torres; four brothers: Fidel Torres, Joe Torres, Alex Torres and Martin Hernandez; and one sister: Gracie Rodriguez. He is survived by one brother: David Torres and wife Misti; two sisters: Mary Castrejon and Sandra and husband Moises Reyes Jr.; one brother- in- law: Juan Rodriguez; two step-sons: Sergio Mendez and Christopher Mendez; one step-daughter: Hillary Martinez; his caregiver Rosa Mendez, and seven step-grandchildren: Aaliyah Mendez, Trey Mendez, Elijah Cabrera, Josiah Cabrera, Anthony Cabrera, Adrian Cabrera, and Yohualli Martinez. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel.
