Obituary of Sandra Joy Cross

Funeral Services for Sandra Joy Cross, 78, of Lovington will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Hobbs with Dr. Danny Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Sandra was born on January 17, 1944 in Roswell to E. A Don and Norma Chrystina (McDaniel) Wright and passed away on June 26, 2022 at her residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Sandra went to First Baptist Church in Hobbs. She worked at the nursery at First Baptist Church in Lovington. Sandra liked collecting rocks and shells. She was preceded in death by her parents: E. A Don and Norma Chrystina Wight; her husband Marquis Cross; one sister: Mary Rosalie Cooper; and one granddaughter: Janice Rose Jackson. She is survived by two sons: Mark Cross and wife Melody of Hobbs, and Jonathon Craig Cross and wife Angela of Lovington; three daughters: Beverly Tucker of Killeen, Buffy Cross of Lovington, and Kristy Webb of Piedmont, Missouri; Six sisters: Cissy Tucker, Donna Arakaki, Linda Osborne, Nancy Christensen, Vickie Taylor and Cheri Wamsley; thirteen grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
