Obituary of Antonio Cabello Sr.

Funeral services for Antonio Cabello Sr., 82, of Lovington will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Antonio was born on May 2, 1940 in Terlingua, Texas to Ermerejildo and Josefa (Rodriguez) Cabello and passed away on October 16, 2022 in Odessa, Texas. Antonio liked to listen to music especially corrido music. He was a very friendly person and liked to make people laugh. He liked drinking his coffee in the mornings. He was a carpenter owning his own business for many years. Antonio loved Lovington. He liked watching the news and he also loved to watch boxing. He was preceded in death by his wife Gloria Cabello; his parents: Ermerejildo and Josefa Cabello; brothers: Rosendo Cabello, Alfaro Cabello, Jose Luis Cabello; one sister: Antonia Estrada. He was survived by one son: Antonio Cabello Jr and wife Christina; daughters: Sylvia and husband Rigoberto Magallanes, Maria L. and husband Arturo Melendez, Gloria Estela and husband Jorge Martinez, and Carolina and husband Manuel Perez; one brother: Narciso Cabello; and one sister: Guadalupe Melendez; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at St. Thomas Parish Hall from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm with a Rosary at 5:00 pm at St. Thomas Parish Hall.
