Linda Brooks Obituary

Linda was born on January 28, 1942 in Grand Saline, Texas to C. E and Selma (Davis) Buchanan and passed away on December 30, 2022. Linda grew up on a cotton farm in Bledsoe, TX in the Fifties, where she made many lifelong friendships. She learned to work hard at a young age. Linda was on the all district basketball team. After graduating high school, she married Roy Brooks and started a family. Linda had two children, Reggie and Shaye. She devoted her life to her family and raising her kids. Linda was a fun-loving mom with a "quick wit" and was always full of love and laughter, anyone that knew her remembered her fondly as a kind and caring person. Many years after Roy passed away she met Jose Acosta and they made a wonderful life together for 20 years. The last few years of her life were clouded by a terminal illness but she never complained, she greeted every day with a smile and winning attitude. Linda will be greatly missed by many.
