Funeral services for Jose Arroyo, 78 of Lovington will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 11:00 am with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Jose Arroyo was born on September 21, 1944 in Buenos Aires, Mexica to Marcos and Feliciana Arroyo and passed away on April 20, 2023. He was a rancher who worked very hard for his family. He met his first wife, Reyes Carrasco and had five beautiful children. He was widowed and later met his second wife, Elisa Padilla. He was blessed with four more beautiful children. He loved is family very much. He enjoyed home projects and building things with his hands. His hobbies were dancing and shopping.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Marcos and Feliciana Arroyo; and his wife: Elisa Arroyo.

He is survived by four sons: Reynaldo Arroyo and wife Gloria, Omar Arroyo and wife Donicia, Jose Lorenzo Arroyo, and Ruben Arroyo and wife Aysha; four daughters: Jesus and husband Filomeno Quinonez, Angela and husband Luis Garcia, Alma Arroyo and Elisa and husband Jose Romero; four brothers: Zenon Arroyo, Geranimo Arroyo, Roberto Arroyo and Mario Arroyo; four sisters: Margarita Hernandez, Consuelo Flores, Adelaida Sanchez, and Socorro Pinon; twenty-five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 11:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
