Funeral services for Pablo E. Rios, 93, of Lovington will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Pablo was born on July 20, 1929 in San Guillermo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Pablo Sr. and Angela (Estrada) Rios and passed away on May 21, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. Pablo played baseball in his younger years on a traveling team they would go as far as Canada. He was also a boxer. Pablo loved his cats and would build dog houses for stray dogs. He loved his family and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Pablo Sr. and Angela Rios; two sisters: one brother; and one daughter-in-law: Debbie Rios. He is survived by his wife Maria Rios; two sons: Pablo Rios and Marco (Nino) Rios; one daughter: Patricia Ann Ybanez and husband Rudy; several nieces and nephews; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel.
