Obituary of David Joe Martin

Memorial services for David Joe "D.J." Martin, 74, will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home with Tom Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. David Joe Martin "D.J." passed away surrounded by family on May 30, 2023, in Loco Hills, New Mexico at the age of 74. David was born on April 1, 1949, to Bill and Claudine Martin in Brady, Texas. D.J. was a manager for Obanon Sales and Service for 15 Years. He then became a cowboy day worker for many ranches all over Eastern New Mexico and West Texas. Throughout his life, D.J. was an avid elk hunter and team roper. He loved to dance and always enjoyed life. He is preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Claudine Martin. David is survived by his children: Cody Bill Martin, and Teisha "T.K." (David) O'Brian; grandchildren: Haley O'Brian, Paul O'Brian; great grandchildren: Adryan, Adalynn, Sophia, Kenzlee, Paul; brother: Gerald (Selene) Martin.
