Graveside services for Carl Marion Parsons, 84, of Tatum will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 10:00 am at Tatum Cemetery with Cameron Veazey officiation. Carl was born on October 11,1938 in Norman, Oklahoma to Willie and Paula Parsons and passed away on July 25, 2023 at his residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Carl married Lillie Cates on May 31, 1957 in New Braunfels, Texas and they were married 66 years. He liked hunting, horses, pigs and helping with FFA. Carl lived in Tatum for about 40 years. He also liked building stuff. He was preceded in death by his parents: Willie and Paula Parsons; one sister: Grace Lawery; and four brothers: Red, Alfred, Bill and Frank. He is survived by his wife: Lillie Parsons; one son: Robert Parsons and wife Angela; four daughters: Cathy Parsons, Carla Parkinson, Christine Parsons, and Darlene Parsons; three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
