Funeral services for Isidro Loya Barriga, 81, of Lovington will be held on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Isidro was born on May 15, 1942 in Satevo, Chihuahua, Mexico to Angel Rojo and Concepion (Loya) Barriga and passed away on August 7, 2023 at his residence. Isidro married Maria Carreon on December 12, 1997 in Plains, Texas. He liked going to the casino and gardening. Isidro enjoyed cooking and liked to joke around a lot.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Angel Rojo Barriga and Concepcion Loya Barriga; son: Raul Barriga; two sisters: Mikayela Barriga Gamaros and Berthalicia Barriga Torres.

He is survived by his wife Maria Barriga of 25 years; two sons: Jose Carreon and Ruby Lopez, and Isaac Carreon and Yolanda Perez; two daughters: Juanita Barriga and Marleen and husband Frank Ontiveros; three brothers: Manuel Barriga, Miguel Barriga and Ector Barriga; two sisters: Marielena Rivera and Esperanza Barriga; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 2:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel.
