Funeral services for Eddy Fabela Sr.,73, of Eunice, New Mexico and formally of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Tuesday, at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel with Joe Valenzuela officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Eddy was born on February 28, 1950 in Lamesa, Texas to Trinidad and Ramona (Paiz) Fabela and passed away on August 23, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. Eddy married Yolanda Quiroz on June 7, 1974 in Lovington, New Mexico. He liked going to garage sales and auctions when they had them at the storage buildings. Eddy liked BBQ and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife: Yolanda Fabela; three sons: Eddy Fabela Jr. and wife Beatrice, Fabian Fabela and wife Gina, and Timothy Fabela; one daughter: Jessica Gonzales; three sisters: Rosa Rodriguez, Maria Ramirez, and Dora Gonzalez; eleven grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm.
