Martha Ann stepped in to the presence of her Savior on September 14, 2023 surrounded by family. She was born to Jessie Lu Caldwell Osburn and Owen 'Jack' Osburn on 7/10/30 in Dalhart, Texas. She married Don L. Land on 6/14/48 in Lovington.
Martha Ann is survived by 2 children: Martha D'Aun Fox (Lynn) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Don L. Land Jr. (Kimberly) of Tatum, New Mexico. She is survived by 2 sisters, her twin and companion Mary Jane Fisher of Lovington, and Eva Dow Walden (Paul) of Olton, Texas.
Preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brother Billy Frank Osburn and Sister Dorothy Lu 'Tudy' Ake.
Martha Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend. She loved everyone she came in contact with and she was the embodiment of the Greatest Commandment - to love the Lord your God and to love your neighbor as yourself. Martha Ann was retired from the Tatum Police Department as a dispatcher. She and Don owned a Mobile station in Tatum for a while and they also owned High Plains Truck Escorting Service.
The family would like to thank all those who provided for her physical and spiritual care.
Services will be held at Revolution Church of God 401 S. 4 St. Lovington at 1:00pm Monday, September 18, 2023. A time of visitation will take place from 12:00- until services start. Pastor Kevin Dawson - pastor of the church - and Pastor Carl Dawson are officiating the service. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
