Obituary of Manuel Vargas Iglesias

Funeral services for Manuel Vargas Iglesias, 76, of Tatum, NM will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Chris Amojo officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Manuel was born on August 5, 1947 in El Porvenir, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel and Guadalupe (Vargas) Iglesias and he passed away on November 19, 2023. Manuel liked to work and was a hard worker. He loved animals especially his cats and chickens. Manuel loved dancing, and riding horses. He was a very friendly person and very family orientated. He was preceded in death by his parents: Manuel and Guadalupe Iglesias; and his wife: Albina DeLaO Iglesias. He is survived by his wife: Maria Iglesias; two sons: Sergio and wife Maria Antonia Iglesias and son Ernesto Iglesias; one daughter: Olga and husband Carlos Carrasco; seven brothers: Felipe Iglesias, Jose Iglesias, Jesus Iglesias, Socorro Iglesias, Francisco Iglesias, Noel Iglesias, and Daniel Iglesias; three sisters: Maria Blanco, Angela Ceballos, and Carmen Iglesias; and Maria Limas Iglesias great-granddaughter that he raised: Guadalupe Sandoval; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 3:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel. Condolence may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
