Funeral services for Vickie Huerta, 52, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 11:00 am at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Vickie was born December 2, 1971 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel and Maria Ascencion (Natera) Huerta and passed away on December 18, 2023 in Lubbock, Texas. Vickie loved spending time with her grandchildren and also coloring with them. She was a very outgoing, happy person and was always joking around. Vickie enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and loved going to eat at Pacific Rim. She was preceded in death by her father: Manuel Huerta Moreno; and one brother: Guadalupe Huerta. She is survived by two sons: Jose Marquez and wife Samantha, and Armando Avalos; her mother: Maria Pando; four brothers: Manuel Huerta and wife Sandra, Lorenzo Huerta and wife Mireya, Oscar Huerta and wife Christina, and Jesse Huerta and wife Angie; one sister: Maria Yesenia Aranda; and three grandchildren: Santiago Tomas Marquez, Diego Armando Marquez, and Audriana Michelle Marquez. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
