Obituary of Steve Gonzales

Services for Steve "Stevie" Garcia Gonzales Sr., 47, of Lovington will be held on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at 12:00 noon at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Steve was born on September 24, 1976 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Ismael Gonzales Sr. and Dolores (Garcia) and passed away on December 25, 2023. Stevie enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He liked being with his granddaughter and liked helping out people. Stevie liked working on his car, amps and speakers. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. He is preceded in death by: his parents: Ismael Sr. and Dolores Gonzales; one brother: Ismael Gonzales Jr. and one sister: Vicky Gonzales. He is survived by one son: Stevie Gonzales Jr.; two daughters: Julissa Justine Gonzales, and Antonia Gonzales; the wife of his children: Jessica Gonzales; one brother: Alex "Peanut" Gonzales; and one granddaughter: Jezabelle Rose Gonzales. Visitation will be held on January 2, 2024 from 10:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
