Obituary
Obituary of Harvey Lynn Hebison
Please share a memory of Harvey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Harvey was born April 9, 1961, to Uylen and Jane Hebison. He went to be with our Lord and Savior, and his parents on February 1st, 2024. He grew up in Crossroads, New Mexico where he and his siblings helped on the ranch and hunted for generations to come.
Harvey was a kind man who was always willing to help and loved his family with all his might. He always said his greatest accomplishment and gift was being a father. It was easy to like Harvey, he could talk to anyone and was a great storyteller. He could captivate you with his stories, his charming personality, and always make you laugh. I will never forget his wonderful laugh that lifted every spirit when they heard it.
Harvey was always known as a hard worker. He couldn't be outworked. He would face any challenge head on, knowing he was going to win and succeed. He looked at his battle with cancer the exact same way, he fought his greatest fight and gave it his all. He didn't want to leave his children so soon and we weren't ready either. He is no longer hurting, and the troubles of the world are no longer his. He can find the peace that he deserved.
The most important thing to him was his family and his faith. He always wanted to be as close as he could be to God and follow the laws the way he thought the scriptures instructed. He was always wanting to do better. The most important thing to him for his children was that they know God and have Him in their hearts. He was a fantastic father and if you were fortunate to be in his life, he loved like nobody else could. He would do anything for his family no matter the cost.
Harvey was a strong-willed man, and he taught his children that they could do anything they put their mind to. He was always right there if they ever needed encouragement or a heartfelt reminder of just how gifted they truly are. He loved each of his granddaughters. We miss you Dad and know you are dancing in heaven, living your best life.
He is preceded in death by his father: Uylen; mother: Jane; and brother James.
He is survived by sisters: Della Jane and Laura Lee; his sons: Kent and wife Andrea, Chris and wife Elizabeth, David, Paul, Levi, and daughter: Zoe Hebison. He is also survived by his 5 beautiful granddaughters: Ashlynn, Zavery, Hadley, Riley, and Emmy.
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who he cherished and thought of as his own.
We welcome friends and family to celebrate Harvey and show him the joy that he shared with so many others. The service will be February 10th at 11am at the First Baptist Church in Tatum NM.
