Ricky Dunlap, a longtime resident of Lovington, New Mexico, joined our Lord and Savior on March 16th, 2024, after a battle with Cancer. "Rick" was born in Fort Worth, Texas, January 4, 1956 to Barbara and Denver Dunlap. Rick married his high school sweetheart Denise (Black) July 18, 1975 in Lovington, NM. Rick and Denise have two children; daughter, Chay Hagedoorn (husband Erik) of Lovington, New Mexico and son, Ty Dunlap (wife Jaymie) and one granddaughter, Lacy Dunlap of Sapello, New Mexico. Rick is survived by one sister, Karen Wise (husband Mike) of Granbury, Texas, and one brother, Dale Dunlap (wife Tammy) of Lovington, New Mexico. Rick enjoyed team roping, off-road jeeping, and time with family and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, March 22, at 2pm at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church in Lovington, NM with Brother Dave Rowser officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
