Obituary of Floretta Flack

Funeral services for Floretta Flack, 86, of Lovington will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 2:00 pm at First Methodist Church with Pastor Fred Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Floretta was born on November 23, 1937 in O'Donnell, Texas to William and Ruby Lee (Thomas) Brown and passed away on May 8, 2024. Floretta liked cooking, playing bingo, dancing and was in Eastern Star. She raised everybody's kids. Floretta would give all the kids cookie's there would always be a line up to even ten kids waiting to get a cookie. She worked for housekeeping at the Hospital and the Nursing Home for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Ruby Brown; two husbands: Roy Barton and Mack Flack Jr.; one brother: Cleveland Brown; one sister: Ivory Lee Brown; one nephew: Louis Nash Jr.; and one brother-in-law: Louis Nash Sr. She was survived by one sister: Mandy Nash; one nephew; Johnny Brown three nieces: Vickie Jackson and husband Kenneth, Linda Bennett and husband Vincent, and Sandra Nash; great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews and also great-great- great nieces and great-great-great nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
