Funeral services for Dolores Hernandez, 74, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Dolores was born on October 2, 1949 to Jose Sr. and Bernadina (Torres) Herrera in Crosbyton, Texas and passed away on July 23, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. Dolores loved going to the casino with family, friends and especially with her brother Manuel, she would spend as much time with him as she could. She enjoyed her fitness classes at the Lovington Wellness Center. She made the best tea and enjoyed making tortillas for everybody. Dolores volunteered at the food banks here in town.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Jose Sr. and Bernadina Herrera; her husband: Aristeo Hernandez Sr.; four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by two sons: Ricky Hernandez and Aristeo Jr Hernandez both of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Nancy and husband Jesse Marquez of Lovington, NM, and Gracey and husband Rudy Sanchez of Lovington, NM; one brother: Manuel Herrera; ten grandchildren lots of other family members and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm and on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 9:00 am until after the rosary time with rosary at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Chapel.
