Q: What will you never forget about Stanley?
A: I had the privilege of teaching Stanley for a short while when I was a long-term sub for his regular teacher, Mrs. Duncan while she was on maternity leave. I had just completed my student teaching and told the class one day that I was going to be graduating from CSW that night. Stanley raised his hand and when I called on him, looking confused, he asked, "You're graduating tonight?" "Yes," I said proudly. Stanley shook his head and replied," Man! How many times did you flunk?" After my initial shock, we all laughed. This is my favorite memory of teaching and a story I've told many times over the years. I was saddened to see he has passed away and pray peace for his family. RIP, Funny Man!
