Vera "Doris" Hanson, was born September 13th 1929 to her parents, Vera Eliza Knotts and Joseph Hansford Ball. She was the oldest sister to her 11 brothers and sisters. Family was at the core of who she was. She was blessed with three children of her own, Sandra, Debrah, and William, who passed before her and she is now reunited with. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren and many, many great and great, great grandchildren.
She treasured family above all else and lived her life in service to her family. The love and kindness that she so freely gave to all will stay with us lucky enough to have had her in our lives and will always serve as an inspiration to us. Outside of her love of family, Vera was a talented artist and a gifted storyteller who sought to make all around her laugh and smile. The stories and beautiful paintings that she told and created will stay with her family and friends and continue to comfort, inspire, and make us smile and laugh.
Vera survived by a brother and a sister, her grandchildren including great and great- great-grandchildren, her numerous nieces and nephews and countless number of people who she touched with her beautiful spirit. We will always remember the lessons, kindness, strength and grace that she lived her life with and we will miss her more than words can express. Love you Granny.
