Visitation for Victor Manuel Porras Sr., 71, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024 from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Victor was born on March 9, 1953 in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Remijo Sr. and Leonor (Aranda) Porras and passed away on August 29, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. Victor married Diana Sanchez on May 30, 1980 in Seminole, Texas they were married 44 years. He was a good brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Victor was a hard worker. He liked watching wrestling and watering his pecans trees. One thing he loved the most was having his grandchildren around. He was preceded in death by his parents: Remijio Sr. and Leonor Porras; three brothers: Javier Porras, Jesus Jose Porras, and Robert Porras; one grandson: David Casillas; and one great-grandson: Baby " Chocolate" Kadorian James Daniels He is survived by his wife: Diana Porras; one son: Victor Porras Jr.; five daughters: Becky Porras, Rachel Porras Tovar, Veronica Castillo, Linda Porras, and Monica Porras; two brothers: Armando Aranda and Remijo Porras Jr.; two sisters: Lucila Gonzalez and Delma Rodriguez; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
