Funeral services for Jorge Alberto Romo, 24, of Midland, TX. will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Jorge was born on August 21, 2000 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Gonzalo Ponce and Estela Martinez and passed away on September 15, 2024. Jorge graduated in Witchita, Kansas. He was a wonderful son and great brother. Jorge was always so caring and protective of his loved ones. Very respectful but liked to joke around with his cousins and siblings. Gave the best hugs and always made sure to ask how everyone was doing. He never had anything bad to say about anyone. A hard worker who gave 110 percent. Jorge loved to play video games in his free time or listen to music.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, also some uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his parents: Gonzalo and Estela Ponce; one brother: Servando Romo; one sister: Naomi Romo; two nephews: Zarek Romo and Xariel Romo; three uncles: Arturo Martinez, Raul Martinez, and Robert Martinez; six aunts: Sandra Martinez, Armida Martinez, Yesenia Martinez, Veronica Martinez, Katy Cabello, and Reyes Vasquez; and numerous cousins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 1:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
