Obituary of Staci Lynn Altman

Staci Lynn Altman was born August 1st, 1978, to Harold and Pam Harrington of Hobbs, NM. Staci married Richard Altman on January 6, 2018. She stepped into the presence of her Savior on September 30th, 2024. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Richard Altman of Lovington, NM; her parents: Harold and Pam Harrington of Hobbs, NM; and her brother: Michael Harrington of Odessa, TX.; Her four sons: Ashton and Gabby Rich of Hobbs, NM, Brett and Esmeralda Rich of Jacksonville, NC, Kayden Rich of Lovington, NM, Chase Rich of Lovington, NM; her three grandchildren: Paxton, Bennett, and Joseph Rich; her grandpa: H.L. Harrington of Hobbs, NM, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Staci was preceded in death by grandparents: John and Armenta Turner and grandmother Deloris Harrington. In her early years, she attended Hobbs High School and graduated in 1996. After years of hard work and dedication, Staci graduated from Western Governor's University with both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Education. Staci touched the lives of many as a social service professional, and then as a third-grade teacher at Jefferson Elementary, while becoming personally involved in their lives. She brought a warm and caring touch to many people who were in desperate need of someone to love them. Staci's most rewarding accomplishment was embracing life with her four sons and three grandsons to the fullest. She used her free-spirited and spit-fire attitude to enjoy things like playing in the mud while teaching her boys how to catch frogs after the rain, bait a hook, and cruise around town at night with the radio blasting. After becoming a Mimi, she found an even greater love for life, continuing the traditions with her grandchildren. Staci will be greatly missed and always remembered for her tomboy style and the ability to be tough while still being kind, caring, and loving. Hearing her loving voice say, "I love you," will be alive forever in our hearts. Until we meet again, see you later, alligator! Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 9th, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home in Lovington, NM. 1106 N. Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10th, at 2:00 pm at Crosswinds Community Church in Hobbs, NM, 1701 N. Jefferson officiating by Pastor Jotty Kinney.
