Funeral services for Antonio Alcantar Ortega, 70, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Antonio was born on April 19, 1954 in Corraleño de Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio Alcantar and Guadalupe Ortega and passed away on October 9, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. Antonio married Martha Imelda Quiñones Grado on October 11, 1977 in Corraleño de Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico they were married 47 years. He liked to fish, play cards and dominos. Antonio liked being at the ranch with the animals. He enjoyed singing when he was around people.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Antonio and Guadalupe; and three sisters: Benita Alcantar Ortega, Elva Alcantar Ortega and Elena Alcantar Ortega.

He is survived by his wife: Martha Imelda Alcantar; four daughters: Lola Alcantar, Sandra Alcantar, Norma and husband Matthew Martinsen and Marisol Alcantar; one brother: Jorge Alcantar Ortega; and five grandchildren: Mia Martinsen, Xaedyn Martinsen, Dallas Martinsen, Dylan Mojarro, and Mya Mojarro.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 2:00 pm until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
