Obituary of Larry Dennis Martin

Funeral services for Larry Dennis Martin, 75, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30pm with Pastor David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Dennis was born on November 21, 1949 in Arkansas to Roland and Juanita (Lyon) Martin and passed away on November 26, 2024 in Lubbock, Texas. Dennis married Valerie Martin on June 12, 1970 in Lovington, New Mexico. He grew up on a cotton farm. Dennis graduated from Lovington High School in 1968, and after that he served in the National Guard for 13 years. He enjoyed watching old westerns movies, camping, hunting and he loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents: Roland and Juanita Martin; two brothers, and two sisters. He is survived by his wife: Valerie Martin of 54 Years; one son: Johnathon Cory Martin; one daughter: Kimberlie Smith; three brothers: Eddie Martin, Russell Martin, and Delbert Martin; two sisters: Jan Saldivar and Gaylene Chappell; four grandchildren: Josie, Alyson, Avery, and Emalie; and two great-grand-children Tyrant and Alayna.
