Funeral services for Petra Hernandez, 95, of Lovington will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Petra was born on October 5, 1929 in Vado de Piedra, Chihuahua, Mexico to Andres and Maria (Alvarado) Arenivas and passed away on December 8, 2024. Petra enjoyed going out to restaurants to eat. She liked visiting her friends and taking them food. Petra liked being out side working on her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Andres and Maria Arenivas; three sisters: Amada Arevalo, Amelia Hernandez, and Marcelina Zubia; two brothers: Esteban Arenivas and Toribio Arenibas.

She is survived by one sister: Andrea Michel and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
