Graveside services for Falba Maxine Depuy, 91, of Lovington will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 10:00 am at Portales Cemetery in Portales, New Mexico with David Stewart officiating. Falba was born on June 15, 1933 in Bomarton, Texas to Pierce and Addie Horton and passed away on December 11, 2024. Falba graduated from Floyd High School in 1951. She married Leon Depuy December 8, 1953 they moved to Lovington, New Mexico in 1960 and raised two daughters: Cheryl Shuford and Debra Depuy. Falba was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and was also a Brownie Scout Leader for her daughter's troop. She was a member of 3rd & Central Church of Christ. She previously served as a Sunday School Teacher and numerous committees at Church. Falba enjoyed yearly jamborees in Higginbotham and Floyd, NM. She loved her family, and enjoyed spending time with her sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every summer she canned vegetables and made jelly with her mother and sisters. Falba enjoyed attending all family functions. Her favorite was watching her great granddaughters at their dance recitals.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother: Richard Horton; two sisters: Edna Jo Flowers and Eva Dean King; and one daughter: Debra Depuy.

She is survived by one daughter: Cheryl Shuford; two grandchildren: Chaundra (Ryan) Jarrett and Wesley Shuford and two great-grandchildren: Caroline Jarrett and Emilee Jarrett.
