Obituary of Shari Jenay Burnett

Shari was born on May 8th 1968 in Artesia NM to Joe and Mary Burkhart and passed away on Dec. 25 2024. Shari had worked for Western Commerce Bank and the Lovington Public Schools Administrative Offices and was excellent at her jobs. Shari loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchildren dearly. She loved watching her boys grow up and play sports. Doing whatever she needed to support them and get them where they needed to be. She was extremely proud of them. She also loved reading her bible everyday wanting to be closer to God. She enjoyed talking to friends, watching tv and hanging out with Jo Jo her dog. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She had a beautiful smile and lit up every room she walked into. she will be dearly missed each and every day. She was preceded in death by one infant son TJ. Burkhart. She is survived by her parents Joe and Mary Burkhart her husband Dale Ray Burnett, two sons, Jared Swenson and wife Micah and Jaden Swenson and Danielle one brother Cary Joe Burkhart and wife Trinell, one sister Jenifer Godfrey and husband Steve, seven grandchildren, Sage, Brees, Baylor, Mia, Mason, Arianne and Brixten; and multiple nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Cowboy Junction Church with Pastor Ty Bean officiating.
