Obituary of Mattie Jane Evans

Mattie Jane Evans November 01, 1960 - November 28, 2008 Funeral services for Mattie Jane Evans, 48, of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Macedonia Holiness Church with Rev. Donald Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mattie was born on November 1, 1960 in Hobbs, New Mexico to parents, Shirley Evans Jr. and Ivory Smith Session. Ms. Evans passed away at her residence in Hobbs on November 28, 2008. She was a housewife who loved to cook and clean. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Mattie was the caregiver of the Evans family. She is survived by her step-father, Charles Session of Lovington; two sons Dorall Smith and Jamare Evans both of Hobbs, one brother Joe Evans of Albuquerque, three sisters Cathy Howard and husband Willie of Lovington, LaTasha Bouldin and husband Syl of San Antonio, TX, and Paula Smith of Hobbs, a grandchild Destiny Smith and A special boyfriend of many years, Vincent Clay. She is also survived by five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Shirley Evans Jr. and Ivory Smith Session, one brother Harry Evans and one sister Synthia Lynch.
