Obituary of Marco B. Fox

Marco B. Fox April 11, 1919 - August 11, 2007 Funeral services for Marco B. Fox of Lovington, NM are 2:00 pm Thursday, August 16, 2007 at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Visitation is 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Wednesday, August 15, 2007 and 8:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday, August 16, 2007. Mr. Fox, 88, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Nor-Lea Hospital in Lovington, NM. He was born July 11, 1919 in Abernathy, TX. He married Ruby Orma Lister Fox on April 7, 1941 in Lovington, NM. Marco was a long time resident of Lea County. He and his twin brother Marion were the youngest of 10 children. In 1926 the family moved to a ranch near MacDonald in Lea County where he lived until he married.. He served in the Army Air Corp during WWII then returned to Lea County to raise his sons. Later he & Orma lived in Wyoming and Oklahoma and returned to Lovington in 1989. His health has declined since his loving wife Orma died in 2005. He was a Mason and Masonic rites will be conducted at the graveside. Survivors include two sons, Ron and wife Pat Fox of Wallowa, Oregon and Terry and wife Jennifer Fox of Atascadero, California; a brother, George Fuchs of Silver City, New Mexico; three grandchildren, Mark, Shelly and Erika; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albano and Georgina Fuchs; his wife, Ruby Orma Fox; two sisters, Carolina and Gertrude; and six brothers, Marion, Roland, Herman, Ewald, Rudolph and Vernon.
