Obituary of Ann Brittain

Ann Brittain October 15, 1948 - September 05, 2016 Funeral services for Ann Brattain, 67, of Lubbock, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM, will be held on Friday at 10:00 am at 3rd & Central Church of Christ with David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Ms. Brattain was born in Ranger, TX on October 15, 1948 to J. C. and Louise (Boatwright) Young and passed away on September 5, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas. She grew up and graduated from Lovington High School. She participated in barrel racing and loved horses as she was growing up. She was a member of 3rd & Central Church of Christ and also attended Sunset Church of Christ after moving to Lubbock. She was very active in her church life. Her greatest joy was her children and her family, as she was very family oriented. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Ann was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Maxwell. She is survived by three sons: Michael and wife Mindy Brattain of Sundown, TX; Joel and wife Lorie Brattain of Lubbock, TX and Chris and wife Lori Brattain of Lovington, NM; two brothers: Bernard Young of Midland, TX and Kenneth & wife Melanie Young of Dallas, TX and one sister: Linda and husband Ronnie Mortimer of Arlington, TX; also seven grandchildren: Michaela, Miranda, Christian, Mackenzie, Jalen, Bree, and Kobe. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016, 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at the funeral home.
