Obituary of Joyce Fulfer

Joyce Fulfer October 25, 1927 - April 29, 2018 Graveside services for Joyce Fulfer, 90, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 1:30 pm at Lovington Cemetery with Pastor Aaron Tiffany officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Miss Joyce was born on October 25, 1927 in Carthage, TX to Burton and Claudia (Minter) Coleman and passed away in Lovington on April 29, 2018. Miss Joyce had been in Lovington since 1954 and had been employed by Wackers, Bob’s Thriftway for twelve years and also for Gibson’s. She was a hard worker all her life and enjoyed her garden and feeding the doves and birds around her home. She raised five children and helped raised a lot of her grandchildren. She loved watching her kids and grandkids play basketball and enjoyed having them around. She and Miranda would watch Wheel of Fortune together and also Miss Joyce liked her soap operas, playing Bingo, and getting lottery tickets. She loved her Dr. Peppers and taught all her grandchildren to love them also. She was a fun lady with a loving heart for her family and was a strong woman and the “rock” of her family. She was very loved and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Dell Fulfer, and one son: Rodney Dale Fulfer. Surviving her are two sons: Gary Don Fulfer and Jack Taylor Fulfer both of Lovington; two daughters: Robbie Darlene Stoneman and Phyllis and husband Lynn Smith both of Lovington; one sister: Jo Ray of Hereford, TX and one brother: Jay and wife Floy Coleman of Lamesa, TX; six grandchildren: Shane Fulfer of Abilene, TX, Miranda and husband Kenny Kim of Lovington, Kimberly Smith of Lovington, Ross and wife Georgia Smith of Lovington, Lyndsey Smith of Lovington and Rachel Fulfer of Phoenix, AZ; also nine great-grandchildren: Michelle, Christopher, Joshua, Emily, Matthew, Kaeleigh, Kyndall, Kiera and Zane. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 3rd at the funeral home from 1:00 – 5:00 pm.
