Obituary of Joseph Garcia

Joseph Garcia June 13, 1984 - April 21, 2012 Funeral services for Joseph Garcia, 27, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the Church of God In Christ in Hobbs at 10:00 am with Pastor Ernest Hodge Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Garcia was born on June 13, 1984 in El Paso, Texas to Daniel and Manuela (Hernandez) Garcia and passed away on April 21, 2012 in Hobbs. He had attended HHS and was a true San Francisco 49er and Boston Red Sox fan. His favorite cartoon was King Barbar and last but not least, he absolutely loved tropical punch kool-aid. He was always a good son, an amazing friend and the best father baby Kaylee could have ever had. The look in his eyes, the smile on his face and as Crystal would say, his unforgettable laugh will live on forever. He was preceded in death by his brother: Luis Garcia; his grandparents: Jose Hernandez and Sylvester and Blaza Garcia. He is survived by his parents of Hobbs; grandmother, Salome Hernandez of Mexico; five brothers: Ceser of Las Vegas, NV, Alejandro of San Angelo, TX; Abel, Danny and wife Sabrina and David all of Hobbs; His partner and mother of his child, Crystal Luna of Hobbs and one daughter, Kaylee Alexandria Garcia of Hobbs. Also surviving him are five nieces and two nephews and best friend, Christian Hodge; numerous aunts and uncles and one he loved like a mother, Mrs. Jean Hodge. Visitation will be Thursday, April 26th from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Church of God In Christ at 1401 East Skelly, Hobbs, NM 88240. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church marked “Joseph’s Memorial Fund”.
