Obituary of Elisa P. Arenivas

Elisa P. Arenivas January 11, 1936 - March 20, 2018 Funeral services for Elisa P. Arenivas, 82, of Tulare, California and formally of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Alonso Quinonez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Elisa was born on January 11, 1936 in Marfa, TX. to Catarino and Petronila (Valenzuela) Paz and passed away on March 20, 2018 in California. She worked in California, picking fruit. She moved to Lovington in 1974. Later she moved to California with her daughter in 2016. Elisa liked to crochet, sew, embroidery, and do crafts. She was an excellent cook and liked to make tortillas for everybody; her kitchen was always open to everyone. She loved her grandchildren with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her husband Estevan Arenivas Sr; her parents: Catarino and Petronila Paz; two sons: Estevan Jr. and Guadalupe Arenivas; one brother: Henry Paz. Surviving her is her daughter; Ramona and husband Billy Granado of Tulare, CA. and three sisters: Helen and husband Gilbert Aldana of Visalia, CA, Emma and husband Max Solis of Farmersville, CA, and Inez Gamez of Casa Grande, Arizona. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from Noon until Rosary at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
