Mary "Loraine" Brown July 17, 1919 - October 30, 2008 Funeral services for Mary “Loraine” Brown, 89, of Hobbs, NM will be Saturday, November 1, 2008 at Northside Baptist Church with Russell Hill officiating. Burial follow at Memory Gardens. Mrs. Brown was born on July 17, 1919 in Athens, Texas. She passed away on October 30, 2008 in Hobbs, New Mexico. She married R.L. “Bob” Brown on April 15, 1946 in Big Springs, Texas. Mrs. Brown enjoyed cooking, watching soap operas, playing board games, and sewing. She was very family oriented and loved her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband R.L. “Bob” Brown of Hobbs, New Mexico; one son, Freddy Brown and wife Judy of Big Spring, Texas; two daughters, Judy Carol Oliver and husband Ted of Hobbs, New Mexico and Debbie Caffey and husband Steve of Hobbs, New Mexico; a special friend, Anita Eaves; seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Myrtle Ledbetter; one brother, J.R. Ledbetter; one son, Bobby Wooten; one great-grandson, Justin James.
