Obituary of Pegge Jean Alcorn

Pegge Jean Alcorn November 22, 1931 - December 11, 2007 Graveside services for Pegge Jean Alcorn of Lovington, NM, will be held at 1 pm Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007 at Prairie Haven Cemetery in Hobbs. Ms. Alcorn, 76, died Dec. 11, 2007 in Lovington. She was born Nov. 22, 1931 in Grassland, Texas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Hobbs. Pegge has lived in Lovington on and off for 20 years. She enjoyed writing poetry & short stories, loved gardening, flowers, music & sitting outside drinking coffee while looking at birds. She loved her kids, grandkids and her cats. Survivors include a son, Ronald & wife Nelda Randolph of Snyder, Texas; granddaughter, Hannah Bodony of Goosecreek, SC, whom she raised as a daughter; Tobye Reaves of Odessa, TX., the daughter of her heart; 3 sisters, Joyce Awalt of Saginaw, TX, Pat & husband Scott Schrader of Ruidoso, NM & Glorietta & husband J.T. Woodard of Hobbs, NM; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Vernon & Lois Pauline Hill; a son, Wesley Allen Peters; a sister, Jonnie Sue Hicks; and a granddaughter, Amy Peters.
