Obituary of Maria Guzman

Maria Guzman November 12, 1948 - September 06, 2018 Memorial services for Maria D. Guzman, 69, of Lovington, NM will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church with a rosary at 10:00 am and mass right after rosary with Father Jesus Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Maria was born on November 12, 1948 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico to Natalia Perez and passed away on September 6, 2018 in Hobbs, NM. Maria moved to Lovington in 1978. She loved to eat, cook, read, color and enjoyed learning different languages. She loved being around her family. She also liked gardening and flowers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Guzman Sr. her mother: Natalia Perez, and one son, Francisco Guzman Jr. Surviving her are two sons: Carlos and wife Jamie Guzman of Kansas, and Alvaro Guzman of Lovington, NM; three daughters: Rosa and husband Joe Leyva of Lovington, NM, Martha Guzman and husband Victor Manriquez of Hobbs, NM, and Natalie Guzman of Lovington, NM and also eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
