Thomas Alec Haggerton September 07, 1943 - September 26, 2007 Funeral services for Thomas A. Haggerton will be held at First Baptist Church in Tatum on Monday, October 1, 2007 at 2:00 pm and will be followed by burial at Antioch Cemetery at 3:45 pm. He passed away Wednesday, September 26, at his residence at age 64. He was born in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico on Sept. 7, 1943. He married Judy Kay Mitchell on August 7, 1966 at Bethel Baptist Church, Knowles community. Thomas is survived by his wife, Judy of the home, 4 daughters, Buffye & husband Nathan White of Lovington, Jennifer & husband Edwawrd Young of Lovington, Cassie & husband Rory Wier of Lovington and Melissa & husband Brad Dickey of Mobeetie, TX.; 3 brothers, David & wife Ava Haggerton of Ovala, TX., Joe and wife Darlene Haggerton of Mineola, TX, Butch & wife Carla Haggerton of Tatum, NM; 3 sisters, Patsy & husband John Erwin of Elephant Butte, Linda & husband Jerry Collis of Hobbs, & Sammy & husband Sonny Houston of Lovington; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert & Mary Haggerton, 1 brother, Donnie and 2 sisters, Ruby & Sherry. He was a deacon for 25 yrs at Tatum Baptist Church, & a great witness. He enjoyed his horses, cows & his dog, “Skeeter”. He was a great Poppa to his grandchildren.
