Watch the Tribute Amada Arevalo April 30, 1925 - July 31, 2014 Funeral Services for Amada Arevalo, 89, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday August 8, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Monsignor Efrain Lopez officiating. Amada was born of April 30, 1925 in Ojinaga, Mexico to Andres and Maria (Alvarado) Arenivas and passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Amada lived in California from 1963 to 1974 and in 1974 she moved to Lovington NM. She loved to do ceramics, cooking, crocheting, and quilting. She enjoyed watching Spanish soap operas, singing, and dancing. She also helped a lot at church. She was preceeded in death by her husband Ismeal Arevalo and two sons: Amado and Juan Arevalo. She is survived by two daughters: Fe Esperanza and husband Raul Badillo of Lovington,NM and Maria de Jesus and husband David Landa of Idaho; four sisters: Amelia and husband Roman Hernandez of Midland,TX, Marcelina Zubia of Presidio, TX, Petra Hernandez of Lovington, NM, Andrea and husband Ernesto Michel of Lovington, NM one brother: Toribio Arenibas of Lovington NM. Visitation will be held on Thursday August 7, 2014 from 10:00 am until rosary time. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
