Obituary of Geraldine Hancock

Geraldine Hancock January 04, 1918 - August 17, 2008 Funeral services for Geraldine “Gerry” Hancock, 90, of Lovington, NM will be 10:00 am Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Rev. Vergil Ichtertz officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mrs. Hancock was born on January 4, 1918 in Rome, Texas. She passed away on August 17, 2008 in Lovington, New Mexico. She married George Hancock on February 28, 1937. Mrs. Hancock enjoyed crossword puzzles, crocheting and reading. She loved her family. She is survived by two sons, Donald Hancock and wife Beth of Hobbs, New Mexico and George Bruce Hancock Jr. and wife Patty of Midland, Texas; one daughter, Clara Ellen Williams of Denver City, Texas; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Donald and Sara Ellen McCurdy; husband, George Hancock Sr.; four brothers and three sisters.
