Watch the Tribute Bonnie Nell Harper February 12, 1935 - October 06, 2013 Funeral services for Bonnie Nell Harper, 78, of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Villar officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Harper was born in Oak Grove, Louisiana on February 12, 1935 to J. Lee and Edna (Stoffer) Kinney and passed away on October 6, 2013 in Lovington, NM. She married J. T. Harper in Eudora, Arkansas on April 4, 1951. She became a Lovington resident in 1963 and worked at Good Samaritan Center for 20 plus years as a physical therapist aide. She loved her church and church family at New Beginnings; enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center, sewing, baking and was a great cook. Bonnie loved flowers and she loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one granddaughter: Angela Mauck and one brother: Virgil Kinney. She is survived by four sons: Edward and wife Linda Harper of Lovington; Jerry and wife Connie Harper of Eunice, NM; Rocky and wife Lisa Harper of Lovington, and Melvin and wife Karen Harper of Malaga, NM; also two daughters: Sue and husband Derril Willis of Lovington and Lena and husband Chris Woody of Schertz, TX; three brothers: Leroy and wife Judy Kinney of Brownwood, TX, Charlie and wife Maxine Kinney of Andrews, TX and Kenneth Kinney of Phoenix, AZ; Also two sisters: Hattie Mae Johnson of Oak Grove, Louisiana and Marie Kinney of Alabama and sixteen grandchildren and seventeen Great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 8th from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
