Obituary of Kenneth Paul Henderson

Watch the Tribute Kenneth Paul Henderson June 07, 1964 - November 26, 2012 Funeral Services for Kenneth Paul Henderson, 48, of The Colony, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Donald Vaughn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Henderson was born on June 7, 1964 in Lovington, NM to Cleveland and Lessie (Pool) Henderson and passed away on November 26, 2012 in Tyler, TX. Kenneth was raised in Lovington, attending school here and graduating from Lovington High School. He was an avid music lover and played the drums in Junior High and High School. He enjoyed lifting weights and riding motorcycles. He also served in the United States Army. He worked in the oilfield and at the mines in Carlsbad before moving to Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Albertha and Liza Henderson and two brothers: Jimmy and Robert O’Neal. He is survived by two sons: Devon and wife Robyn Henderson of Austin, TX and Iramease Henderson also of Austin; three daughters: Nicole and husband Robert Aikey of Pennsylvania, Emerald Henderson of Austin, TX and Catrina Pando of Lovington, NM; five brothers: Henry B. Jr. and wife Margaret O’Neal of Lovington, Del O’Neal of Oregon; Cleveland Henderson of Mineola, TX and Billy Ray O’Neal of Hobbs, NM. and Sherman Henderson of Dallas, TX and one sister: Lena Mae Thomas of Hobbs, NM. Also surviving him are 8 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 30, 2012 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
