Watch the Tribute Aurora Hernandez April 15, 1937 - April 22, 2011 Funeral services for Aurora Hernandez, 74, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, April 25, 2011 at St. Thomas Catholic Church at 10:00 am with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Hernandez was born on April 15, 1937 to Manuel and Estella Trejo and passed away on Friday, April 22, 2011 at her residence. She was married to Cornelio Hernandez in Chihuahua, Mexico on January 31, 1961. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and spoiling her grandchildren. She was an ultimate homemaker, prayer warrior and was very family oriented. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jesus Trejo. She is survived by her husband Cornelio Hernandez of the home, three sons: Rafael and wife Norma Hernandez of Lovington, NM; Manuel and wife Veronica Hernandez of Hobbs, NM, Cornelio Jr. and wife Karla Hernandez of Hobbs, NM; and three daughters: Carmen and husband Oscar Medina of Perryton, TX; Salome and Miguel Medina of Hobbs, NM and Aurora and Naun Almanza of Chihuahua, Mexico. Also, two brothers, Gonzalo and wife Claudia Trejo of Dallas, TX and Ramiro Trejo of Chihuahua, Mexico and three sisters: Socorro and husband, Valentine Borunda of Chihuahua, Mexico, Graciela and husband Trinidad Soto of Chihuahua, Mexico and Moncerrat and husband Filomeno Sigala of Lovington, NM; 13 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2011 from 1:30 pm until Rosary time. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel on Sunday, April 24th.
