Rosary for Raul Hernandez will be on August 12, 2011 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel at 7:00 PM. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Raul was born on November 23, 1929 in Brownsville, TX to Jose and Manuela (Mendoza) Hernandez. He passed away peacefully in Lovington, NM on August 9, 2011.
Raul was an active man who enjoyed working around the farm and picking pecans. He was described as a loving and caring man who loved his children and grandchildren.
Raul is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Adela Hernandez, two sons, Johnny and Rosendo Hernandez, one daughter Sylvia Mexicano, and two great-grandsons Robert Hernandez and Robert Mexicano.
Raul is survived by two sons, Joe and wife Anita Galvan of Bensenville, IL and Raul Jr. and wife Mary Hernandez of Sealy, TX, one daughter, Mary and husband Joe Leal of Lovington, NM, and one brother, Robert Hernandez of Plainview, TX.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 11-5pm and on Friday from 8:30 until Rosary time.
