Obituary of Jane Ellen Armstrong

Watch the Tribute Jane Ellen Armstrong July 31, 1925 - May 05, 2012 Graveside funeral services for Jane Ellen Armstrong, 86, of Lovington, will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at 11:00 am at Lovington Cemetery with David Stewart officiating. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ms. Armstrong was born on July 31, 1925 in Crockett, Texas to Wilbur and Mildred (Ellison) Eardley and passed away on May 5, 2012 at Lovington Good Samaritan Center where she had resided since 1996. She grew up in Crockett, TX and lived in El Paso and Houston, TX in earlier years. She had been a resident of Lovington since the early 90’s. She enjoyed quilting, ceramics and fishing. She loved her family and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: William Robert Armstrong and two great-great-grandaughters: Grace Elaine Tucker and J’Lynn Gibson. She is survived by one son: Jerry Morton Armstrong of Temple, TX; four daughters: Nancy Farus of Ruidoso, NM, Judy and husband Steve Tally of Ruidoso; Brenda Woods of Lovington, and Jackie and husband Frosty Lathan of Hobbs, NM. Also surviving her are eleven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 8th from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm.
