Obituary of Linda Key Butcher

Linda Key Butcher July 30, 1980 - December 16, 2017 Funeral services for Linda Key Butcher, 37, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Lovington High School Pannell Auditorium with Father Alonso Quinonez officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Linda was born on July 30, 1980 in Hobbs, NM to Pablo and Celia (Flores) Jimenez and passed away on December 16, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona. Linda grew up and graduated from Lovington High School and attended NMJC where she received a double associate’s degree. She and her husband, Nathaniel Butcher have shared seventeen years together. She served as CCD teacher for first communion at St. Thomas Catholic Church for ten years and has been involved in Lovington school system for fifteen years as Instructional Assistant for Special Education. She was the “go-to” person to get things done, was determined, strong but could be tough and not back down. She loved music, holidays, arts and crafts; singing, and was loud, outspoken, creative and was very loved. She put others first and was a blessing to many people and was all about family. She was preceded in death by two sisters; Rafaela and Clarissa Jimenez. Surviving her is her husband Nathaniel Butcher of Lovington, NM; two sons: Devion and D’Andre Butcher of Lovington, NM; one daughter: Zemery Butcher of Lovington, NM; her mother: Celia Jimenez of Lovington, NM; her father Pablo and wife Patti Jimenez of Lovington, NM; two brothers: Pablo Jr. and wife Veronica Jimenez of San Angelo, TX, and Ricky Jimenez of Lovington, NM; two sisters: Christy Jimenez of Artesia, NM and Anita and husband Oliver Solorzano of Lovington, NM; maternal grandmother: Fausta Jimenez of Hobbs, NM; other grandparents: Eddie and Mary Young of Hobbs, NM ; In-laws: Bernard and Mary Butcher of Lovington, NM; brother-in-law: Brandon Butcher of Lovington, NM and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Rosary will be at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Pannell Auditorium.
