Obituary of John Robert Hinson

John Robert Hinson Sr. May 31, 1931 - October 17, 2007 Rosary services for John Robert Hinson Sr., 76, of Hobbs was held Friday, October 19, 2007 at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Mass will be held Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. He passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2007 in Hobbs. He was born May 31, 1931 in Meadow, Texas. Hinson is survived by three sons, John Robert Hinson Jr. of Hobbs, Abel Hinson and his wife Naomi of Albuquerque, Robby Hinson and his wife Eveline of Simpsonville, South Carolina; three daughters, Yakima Hinson of Lovington, Lisa Allan of San Antonio, Texas, Debbie Pritchett of Odessa, Texas; one brother, Jerry Hinson of Levelland, Texas; three sisters, Joyce Vanlandinghan of Eastland, Texas, Janice Hinson of Eastland, Texas, June Fore of Ruidoso; sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel Hinson and Effie May Morehead.
