Obituary of Calvin Wright Holloway

Calvin Wright Holloway January 26, 1948 - October 03, 2016 Calvin Wright Holloway III passed away at his home in Dewey, AZ on Monday evening, October 3, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born on January 26, 1948 in Bixby, OK to Calvin and Ozella Holloway, Jr. His family moved to Lea County in 1959 where he attended Tatum Public Schools. After completing his service in the US Army, he married Jo Ann Hobbs of Lovington, NM on March 27, 1968 and they resided in Lovington for most of their 48 years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Carmelita Wegner. Surviving him is his wife, JoAnn of the home and his two daughters, Tami Martin and husband Roy of Clovis, NM and Sandi Brewer and husband Connor of Lovington, NM. Two brothers: Nathan Holloway of Tatum, NM and Allen Holloway of Buena Vista, CO as well as one sister, Marcia Pierce of Manvel, TX. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, Shelby Brewer and Lauren, Joshua and Jacob Martin, nine nieces and nephews and many treasured friends. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Calvin was loved dearly and is truly missed.
