Funeral services for Carolyn Sue Huerta, 59, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 10:00 am at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Chapel with burial to follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Huerta was born on February 13, 1954 in Denver City, TX to Pete and Noma Lue (Wyatt) McGuire and passed away on December 22, 2013 in Lubbock, TX. Carolyn grew up with horses and was a very active person. She liked dancing and painting. She taught sixth grade at Broadmore Elementary and was assistant principal at Edison Elementary. She had her own embroidery shop for a few years called “Initial Impressions”. She was a talented woman and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Lupe Huerta of Hobbs; one son: Matlock and wife Kaci Oldham of Hobbs, NM and two step-sons: Arthur Huerta and Fabian Huerta of Hobbs.
