Kenny Jackson August 29, 1937 - March 23, 2008 A memorial service for Kenny Jackson, 70, of Lovington will be 10:00 am Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at 3rd & Central Church of Christ with Dale Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Mr. Jackson was born on August 29, 1937 in Anton, Texas. He passed away on March 23, 2008 in Lovington, New Mexico. He married Rosa Lee Jackson on August 17, 1957 in Lovington, New Mexico. Mr. Jackson lived in Lovington since he was a teenager. He worked in the oilfield for many years and later was a self employed welder in the oilfield. He loved to farm, enjoyed taking care of his cows and going to the café for coffee and visiting. He was a long time member of 3rd & Central Church of Christ. The kids at church called him the “candy man”. He is survived by one son, Dean & Kirestie Jackson of Lovington, New Mexico; one brother, Jim Jackson of Houston, Texas; one sister-in-law, Kay Jackson of Lovington, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Clinton Blaine Jackson and Phillip “Mica” Jackson, both of Lovington, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Lee Jackson; his parents, Trial Kenny and Annie Laura Jackson; one daughter; two brothers, Bill and Harlan Jackson; two sisters, Dorothy Kirkland and Dora Jackson.
